November Social: Annual Tree & Wreath Auction

Our November social is a special event that is held at the El Paso Zoo. Members are encouraged to attend with their spouse or a guest and enjoy a sit down dinner and bidding on a live auction. Proceeds go towards FBSA’s community grants and scholarships programs.

Attendees that bring toy donations for Operation Santa Claus will also earn opportunity tickets, one per toy, towards a 7-course Chef’s dinner for two from Anson 11.

Cocktail attire is requested for this event. There will also be a cash bar available.

Annual Fort Bliss Tour of Homes

This popular FBSA event is open to the general public.

Grab your friends and come tour the historic homes of Fort Bliss. This semi-self guided walking tour offers a peek into several of our oldest residential homes.

Tickets are available to those 12 years of age or older. Tickets purchased prior to December 7th are $15 and will receive a complimentary Christmas ornament, while supplies last. You may purchase tickets the day of or “at the door” for $18.

Proceeds of this event benefit FBSA’s community grants and scholarships programs.

Civilian Guests, please note: Fort Bliss requires civilian visitors to obtain a visitor’s pass by presenting a valid U.S. Government issued photo ID inside one of the following Visitor Control Centers. Civilians can find a visitor control center at the Buffalo Soldier or Chaffee gates.

Buffalo Soldier VCC: 5 AM-9 PM, M-F

Chaffee VCC: 24/7

All DoD ID card holders (military, dependent, retiree, and DoD/DA civilians) are authorized to escourt those that do not possess a DoD ID card or Visitor’s pass onto the installation. Individuals being escorted must possess a valid form of government issued photo ID card and present it when entering at the gate.

As a reminder, all drivers requiring entry to the installation must possess a valid state issued driver’s license, vehicle registration document, and proof of insurance for a pass to be issued. All vehicles are subject to random security inspections.

*Effective 01/2016, driver’s licenses from Arizona, Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota, and Washington are no longer accepted as a valid single form of ID to access Fort Bliss, due to their non-compliance with the Real ID Act. Visitor’s who possess driver’s licenses from these states should bring an alternate form of permissible, valid U.S. Government issued photo ID.

Come enjoy lunch and a holiday cookie exchange! To participate in the cookie exchange, bring 1 dozen cookies or bars of your choice.

We will be awarding prizes to winners across several cookie categories, so stay tuned for that info!

Attendees will also have a chance to win a prize by earning an opportunity ticket for each donation they bring for the Child Crisis Center of El Paso. Please check back on the list of items they have requested.

To be considered for the first giveaway, please bring one of the items below for our charitable organization of the month.

This month, FBSA is partnering with the Center Against Sexual & Family Violence. They are in need of the following items:

-child care necessities
-personal care items
-cleaning supplies
-food items

EACH donated item will get you an opportunity ticket towards winning one of two donated mini sessions from local photographers! (Just in time for the fall or the holidays!)

The second giveaway will be to two winners for our best and worst dressed wedding guests. Each winner will receive a $50 giftcard to Blame It On the Blowout.
