Non-FBSA Volunteer Opportunities

There are a myriad of ways to get involved in the Fort Bliss and El Paso communities. While we would love your time spent volunteering to be with us, we also understand that your schedule may not allow that.

Volunteerism is critically important to us, without volunteers so many organizations like our own would simply not exist today. Below are a few unique and unexpected places that need volunteers within the borderland.

Your Money, Your Future

AUSA is offering an exciting FREE forum open to all military ID cardholders on April 11th, 2018.

Your Money, Your Future: A Roadmap to Healthy Financial Management.

This forum is designed to provide information on the new Blended Retirement System as well as how to manage debt, preparing for major life transitions, online tools and resources, and tools and tips for financing your own business.

It will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Centennial Club.

Special Guest Speaker: SMA (ret) Ken Preston, Vice President NCO and Soldier Programs, AUSA.

  IGNITE EL PASO   The  Institute for Veterans and Military Families  (IVMF) at Syracuse University and the  Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship  (V-WISE) team, in partnership with the Association of the United States Army (AUSA),are excited to present  IGNITE El Paso  - an exclusive entrepreneurship training event for  women veterans ,  active duty service women  a nd women military spouses/life-partners  at the Fort Bliss Army Installation’s Centennial Hall. This event is solely sponsored by Prudential.   A $25 fee may apply for this full day event.

Together we can make our communities beautiful through gardening, flower and landscape design, and involvement regarding environmental concerns. 

The next meeting is set for April 20th at the Rose Garden on 3320 Aurora Ave. The program will be roses, and is presented by Doc Stalker. Please join us!

The Humane Society of El Paso (HSEP) is the oldest and largest NO-Kill animal shelter in the City and County of El Paso, Texas and have remained in continuous operation for over 66 years for the purpose of building a better community for all animals through adoptions, education, foster-care, volunteer work and community events.

H.O.P.E. Institute provides education, services, and support to female Veterans in need. We provide on-site classes, community services, employment training, and educational opportunities to help female veterans get back on their feet. Even after they leave our program, we provide follow-up services to ensure a smooth transition into their new home and lifestyle. The tools we provide equip our clients to live independently and be productive in society. Our program facilitates the transition to self sufficiency and independence; thereby, reintegrating productive women back into society.
